General

Where is the tournament located?

The tournament will be played at the John Blanche Memorial Soccer Complex off of Diaz Rd in the Temecula/Murrieta Valley in Southern California.

From San Diego take the 15 Fwy North, exit Winchester Road and go west (left).  Follow Winchester Road until you reach Diaz Road and go north (right).  Follow Diaz Road until you hit a dirt road that will lead directly to the complex.

From Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange or Los Angeles County, take the 15 Fwy South, exit Winchester Road and go west (right).  Follow Winchester Road until you reach Diaz Road and go north (right).  Follow Diaz Road until you hit a dirt road that will lead directly to the complex.

  

How many teams will be participating?

There will be between 80-100 teams depending on participation.  There will be a minimum of 6 teams per division, with no maximum playing and a minimum of 4 games each.

 

What level of players is expected to compete?

There will be a diverse range of playing abilities.  The open division will have the most skilled players and the age group divisions will feature a broader range of ability.

   

How many games can we expect to play?

Each team will play a minimum of 4 GAMES.  The most you can expect to play if your team advances to the Championship round is 6 games.

   

How long are the games?

Games will be 30-minute halves with a 5-minute half time for all divisions.  There are no time outs.

What are the field dimensions ?

110 x 70 are the field dimensions for 11 v 11
80 x 50 are the field dimensions for 8 v 8

   

Will there be concessions at the tournament?

Concession will be available both days of the tournament.  Various foods and beverages will be available.

   

Are pets allowed at the facility?

NO PETS ARE ALLOWED at the John Blanche Memorial Soccer Complex



Divisions

What divisions are available to play in?

Divisions are as follows:

How many players can you have on an 8 v 8 roster?

There is no limit to the number of players that you can carry on your team.

 

How many players can you have on an 11 v 11 roster?

There is no limit to the number of players that you can carry on your team.

 

Can you play in more than one division?

Yes, you can play in more than one division.  It is your responsibility to go to each game.  Many games will be played concurrently.  The tournament organizers, however, cannot guarantee any player that there will not be game conflicts if you were to play on 2 teams during the tournament.

Can players register individually?

Yes, players can register individually and will be put in contact with other individual players to form a team.  If not enough single players register, then they will be placed on an existing local team to play.

 

When is the latest date I can add a player?

You can add a player as late as morning check-in the day of the event.  All material must be completed before the first game.

 

Can a player miss the first game or two and still play on the team?

Yes, as long as all of their registration material has been submitted then a player can come late. 

 

Do you require a medical release for each player?

Every player must sign the roster form that includes a medical release.

   

If a player or coach receives a red card, how long do they have to sit out?

The player or coach must sit out that entire game but can play in the next game.  If the red card was a result of a physical confrontation or from verbal abuse, that player will be banned from the following match and possibly any further matches.  This will depend on the referees report.

 

Do yellow cards transfer from game to game?

Yellow cards do not transfer from game to game.

 

When is the deadline to register my team?

The deadline for registering a team is November 15, 2007, but we suggest you register your team early to guarantee a spot in the tournament.

 

When is the team check-in?

Your team can be checked-in the morning of the event at least one hour before your first scheduled game.  All your players must sign the team waiver before they step on the field to play.  NO Exceptions.  All registration forms must be completed, and a representative from the team should bring the registration materials.
